The Full Story

Presley & Paisley began in May 2023 as I was nearing the end of my maternity leave with Presley and I wasn't quite ready to go back to work and be away from him. I made the decision that I would start my own business so I could work for myself and do something I was actually passionate about which centered around my little boy. I had started learning to sew in the March of the same year using a sewing machine that my Mum had given me and I taught myself how to make clothes for Presley that would fit over his big cloth nappy which he was wearing at the time. After sharing my makes online, I quickly realised that there was a demand for quirky, stylish baby clothes and my friends loved the idea that they could choose their own fabrics to design their babies clothing! With the support of my husband, Jay and the rest of my immediate family, I created my own baby & toddler clothing brand and Presley & Paisley Peekabootique was born!

I bought lots of different fabrics from a friend who had closed her own business (one that hugely inspired me) and began trading through my Facebook page to friends, family and strangers from all over the UK and it was quite thrilling! I decided to step out of my comfort zone even more and booked myself into a couple of Christmas events and started my own little market stall. Since then I have done many market events and my stall has grown bigger and bigger and I absolutely love watching my customers rifle through the rails excitedly finding something that they can dress their babies in!  In March 2024, I left my job and Presley & Paisley became my full time job and I absolutely adore it! We moved to Felixstowe and I have been working hard to make my little business one that my  town can be proud of.

I was approached by another local business - Off The Cuff Embroidery and I instantly knew I wanted to work with them. I'm always thinking ahead and looking at what else I can offer, and when they told me about their services I couldn't possibly say no. I now have two amazing friends who have levelled-up my work and provide such a high quality of embroidery to any item! As well as clothing, I also make hats, bibs and reuseable wipes. I make these using the scraps from my larger projects as I absolutely hate the thought of sending any textile waste to landfill - and anything I can't use gets donated as cushion stuffing!
